The following items were due this week: -"Speak Double-Entry Journal" (LATE--any people have not turned this in!) -"Marigolds" Reading analysis questions (from our class discussion) on p. 23 in textbook #'s 1, 5, 6, and 7. -Logos, Pathos, and Ethos advertisement analysis (completed with your assigned group) -All daily bell ringers from this week -All daily vocabulary practices Check the attached Power Point notes to fill in any missing notes/information. Coming up next: -Vocabulary quiz on your second set of terms on Tuesday 1/22 -We will be starting to plan/draft our argument essays next week! Come to class with some ideas of topics you would like to construct a thesis about next week. **SHOUTOUTS: -Shoutout to ALL class periods for doing an EXCELLENT job working collaboratively in groups this Friday when conducting the advertisement analysis! Lets keep up this collaborative classroom culture :-)
We had another great week in 9th Grade Literature! The following things were to be turned in this week: -"Pizza Speaker Activity" Packet--Due Thursday 1/17 -"Speak" Double-Entry Journal--Due Friday 1/18 -Do now sheet (with vocabulary practice)--Due Friday 1/18 -Signed parent signature form from the syllabus--Due Monday 1/14 We also had a vocabulary quiz on our first set of terms on Friday 1/18. If you missed this quiz, you will make it up on Monday.
