Happy Monday! Welcome back to another week of digital learning :-) Last week you read the poem "Ode to My Socks" by Pablo Neruda. This week you will be writing your own ode poem! An ode is a poem specifically written to show adoration or love for something or someone that is important to you. Neruda chose to write his ode about the simple things in life we often ignore. You can chose to write your ode about anything or anyone that brings you joy! Here are some examples of topics students chose to write their odes about last year:
This poem does not need to rhyme, but you can make it rhyme if you would like! Poems are symbolic and artistic. Make sure that you are creative. You are also required to include figurative language. Refer to the attached directions for instructions on this. See the attached document for directions. You may either type or hand write this. This is due this Friday 4/24.
